Wow, what. So much went on in this episode that I’m not sure where to begin. Well, I guess I’ll start off with the beginning scene which continued off from last episode’s cliffhanger. Misa in Raiden’s suit wasn’t actually Misa, but an illusion, which I’m not quite sure how that was possible. Technology has indeed come a long way. Toshiyuki revealed himself to be part of organization that is fighting against Kimijima Kou, whom Misa is working for now. So wait, Kimijima… is the villain?!
AR technology played a bigger role than I thought. Before, I assumed it was just an aesthetic touch, until Airi came along and a new mystery came about. The end of this episode almost shocked me because I had this feeling it was gonna with another goddamn gun point, but thankfully not. However, Kimijima Kou does exist after all… but now in code. Jumping Jahosafat! Why does everyone wanna kill Kai and Aki?
And then the other twist was Nae Tennouji, aka Sister Braun. I always thought she was a peculiar one in JAXA, and being, well, Nae from Steins;Gate, but I was still caught off guard by her fighting prowess and the goons who almost took Kona-chan.
Now, aside from the ridiculous revelations going on this episode, it was great to see Aki and Kai bonding. Sad to see GunPro-2 make dust quickly after it was presented, but that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. I really don’t know what to expect from this show and I feel there’s even more plot twisting somewhere. With the mention of SERN, Nae, the Divergence Meter and Airi’s phrase from Episode 1, this is tying all the threads of Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate with Robotics;Notes into one complicated and intense plot.
