Hajime no Ippo – Ch. 1,004
Sean: Goddammit, Volg is so fucking close. After all the struggling he went through to set up that single punch, a dirty ref was the last thing on my mind in this match. I’m really interested if Morikawa will have the guts to go through with it and how it will effect both Volg and Mike. On the other hand, readers will experience the greatest RAGEstorm since the Woli match, albeit a different kind of rage. It’s definitely a twist nobody was expecting at this point; and at the same time, it’s a possibility to be expected in the back at our minds. This is the world stage and people will do anything to reach the apex.
Kimi no Iru Machi – Ch. 216-217
Tommy: Nothing happened in the first chapter. Seriously I don’t remember anything beyond Yuzuki bathing. Now chapter 217 was where the real action went down. Well I say that but the guys were pretty much losers including Haruto since he had to be shoved into the bath (insert morality clause here of him having a girlfriend). They had the chance to join in a mixed bath with the girls on their road trip but wussed out. These guys are supposed to be in their early twenties, right? They were behaving like preteens. Pathetic. At least Haruto got a wide-eyed view of Nagoshi’s entire crotch.
Gamaran – Ch. 176
Tommy: Nothing happened! Well that’s not 100% true but I really wanted to see Iori and Ango throw down However it was just the beginning with Iori showcasing his insane speed and Ango “going all out” and revealing that he has some monstrous strength. Ango is supposedly the strongest of Jinsuke’s officers and this fight will surely be a measuring stick for Iori especially since his primary target is Jinsuke. I’m not entirely sure how the flow of the battle will go but I would think that Iori has the advantage here given the tight space in that corridor.
Again!! – Ch. 25
Sean: I was waiting for Imamura to sock that guy in the face this entire chapter. But nope, nothing. It’s not even about the cheer squad anymore. It’s about the total disrespect for Usami in this chapter. When Iwasaki said “bitch” that’s when the FISTICUFFS should have been thrown down. Ehh, whatever, they’ll probably kick his ass in cheering, which is kinda gay now that I step back and look at it. Anyway, it’s training arc time. Cheer squad training arc. I am fucking pumped.
