Once again, this episode underplays the events from the last second of the previous episode. I have no idea why they do this. It just makes me think I’m not supposed to take this in all too seriously. It was mentioned later in the episode as an aside, likely to come up again as we reach the finale.
This episode was all about the Robot Expo and showing off GunPro-2. I think this was Aki at her finest, or at least her prettiest. She had nearly all the focus of this episode and she looked good the entire time. Nothing but a towel and her hair down, or in her sleeping clothes (with some AkixKai moments), and the cute winter outfit.
I’d be interested in going to one of these robot expos just because, well, you’re looking at robots! They really show off how advanced technology has become and the creativity behind building these machines. Funnily enough, I was more interested in that giant spider robot than Gunvarrel, but it’s nice to know that the Robotics Club had succeeded in something even after disbandment.
The last scene got me on my toes a bit when Kai and Aki went after Misa, only to find the dude from a couple of episodes ago coming from her head. What happened? The other strange thing was that Misa didn’t once turn around, nor did we get to see her face. Something doesn’t feel right, and I hope next episode doesn’t break off from this point like it just did in this episode.
